Saint Virgin Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church also known as ‘The Hanging Church’, is
one of the oldest churches in Egypt and the history of a church on this site dates
to the third century. Named for its location above a gatehouse of the ancient
Babylon Fortress, its nave is suspended over a passage.
The Coptic Museum
The largest collection of Egyptian Christian artefacts in the world, tracing the
history of Egypt from its beginnings to the present day.
Ben Ezra Synagogue
According to local folklore, it is located on the site where baby Moses was found.
