Nicosia Kyrenia Salamis
Nicosia:
The island's capital since the 12th century situated in the heart of the Messaoria plain. The old city with its many quaint and ancient shops is defined by Ventian walls.
Kyrenia:
A sleepy seaside port with its castle being one of the most abncient buildings in Cyprus and its museum displaying one of Alexander the Great's ships.
Salamis:
Birthplace of Barnabas with large Jewish community visited by St Paul.
After the fall of Acre during the Crusades, nearby Famagusta became the major easterm Mediterranean trading port.

And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
